This development comprises 12 thoughtfully designed new homes, constructed on a site that presented several unique challenges—including basalt rock formations, an overland flow path, nearby powerlines, and the discovery of a midden. Working in close collaboration with local mana whenua, our client, and Heritage New Zealand, we navigated these complexities with care and respect.
For us, it was business as usual—meeting challenges head-on and delivering quality outcomes. Four of the homes were built to Kāinga Ora’s Full Universal Design specifications, ensuring accessibility for all. These residences feature striking high gable roofs and clad in a blend of timber weatherboards and James Hardie cladding.
