The 80’s was a remarkable decade characterised by impressive growth and technological advancements. It was during this time that Signature Homes was established in 1983, marking the beginning of our journey.

In the 80’s we grew rapidly and soon established a robust foothold in the New Zealand market. However, in 1987, the economic landscape took a turn for the worse, and we needed to diversify our offerings to include conventional timber-framed homes and solid-wood homes.

Signature Homes’ vision for creating exceptional homes for New Zealanders led to the launch of our Design & Build offering. As part of this initiative, we shifted our focus from solid-wood homes to specialise in crafting custom designed timber-framed homes.

Private Ownership
Gavin and Anneta Hunt, who were involved in Signature Homes’ initial launch in 1983, became our private owners. In 1995, we expanded our operations to construct homes, commercial buildings and resorts throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
