Onehunga
Stage One of our two-phase residential project in the heart of Onehunga delivered twenty seven thoughtfully designed homes on a flat, centrally located site. During development, an unexpected geological feature — a tomo (lava cave) — was discovered, presenting unique challenges to the development.
In response, we collaborated closely with local iwi, our client Kāinga Ora, and our contracting partners to ensure the site was treated with cultural sensitivity and care. Together, we navigated the complexities with respect and integrity, allowing the project to move forward while honouring the significance of the land.
